“Meet the Gnostics”

Gnosticism was very popular at the time of the Early Church. Were they heretics? Were they progressive Christians?

Meet some of the personalities, find out what made them different. Maybe they’d be right at home in MCC Topeka!

A light lunch will be provided.

Blessing Box Installed

As part of our outreach to the community, we have installed a Blessing Box in our yard near the Community Garden.

This is a small wood box containing non-perishable food and hygiene products. These items are free for anyone to take who is in need, and at the same time people in the neighborhood and our church can donate items by placing them inside the box. This is a way for our church to partner with the Blessing Box movement in Topeka.

THE LOVE BOX

The LOVE BOX

Our LOVE BOX is in the parlor to help people.  It is located on the shelf under the bulletin board in the parlor. If you have a concern about yourself or someone else, or if you want to leave a note of appreciation for someone, please write it on a 3 x 5 card and place it in the box. The Congregational Care Team will read the cards, and when possible, provide support in meeting those needs or communicating your “thanks”.
